Qasim Mazhar

(CEO)

Qasim Mazhar is a humanitarian, student of Philanthropic Studies, and has been fundraising for the American Muslim community for the last decade. Qasim Mazhar has a B.A in International Studies with a Diploma in Arabic Language from the University of North Texas. He has also obtained a Master’s Certificate in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University and is working on completing the full Master’s program. Qasim Mazhar has also obtained a Certificate of Fundraising Management from Indiana University. He has spent the last 7 years with Helping Hand for Relief and Development, an international NGO, 2 of which have been spent as their Fundraising Strategy Manager.

Qasim Mazhar is the co-founder of The Barakah Project.

Abdirahman Kariye

(COO)

Abdirahman Kariye is an Imam, humanitarian, and a fundraising strategist. Abdirahman has a B.A in Education from Highline College and Islamic degree in Sharia from Al-Azhar University. Abdirahman Kariye also has a Certificate of Fundraising Management from Indiana University. He serves as Country Director for Helping Hand for Relief and Development, an international NGO, where he oversees 10 of its regional offices. Abdirahman has fundraised for over 50 nonprofit organizations and mosques throughout the country.

Abdirahman Kariye is the co-founder of The Barakah Project.
